Brick masonry is used to solve various construction problems. Each task uses its own solution. Construction standards and rules (SNiP) distinguish the basic brands of solutions: from M4 to M150.
They differ in various strength, which increases with the growth of the index. In the proportion of a solution for masonry brick, three components are taken into account: water, astringent and filler.
Conditionally, solutions are divided into two types: lime and cement. In a lime solution, a binding substance is gash -lime, and the filler is sand. These are mortars of brands M4 and M10. In cement solutions, a binding substance is cement, filler – sand.
To give a cement solution, special properties as a binder mix cement with gashi lime in proportions that can be viewed in numerous reference literature. So the mortar of brands from M25 to M150 is obtained.
Separately release solutions for laying furnaces. They have a binder – clay, filler – sand. The proportion of 1: 1: 0, 25 is usually used, where the last component is the proportion of water in the solution. The correction of the proportion depends on the “fat content” of the clay and the thickness of the masonry seam.
Brick mating solutions are not suitable for laying tiles. Tiles can be placed both on the floor and on the walls, while different requirements are imposed on the solutions.
So, for example, the tile in the bathroom is attached with a special solution or adhesive, which will also be resistant to increased humidity in the room. You can use a mixture of sand with cement in proportions 1 to 4 with the addition of PVA glue there.
