Delta Airlines offers new inflight menu and burgers

Starting this December, Delta Airlines is literally taking burgers to a whole new level with a partnership with American chain Shake Shack.

Shake Shack started out selling hot dogs at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 2001 and has grown exponentially in popularity over the past 23 years. The first Shake Shack kiosk opened in 2004, and the chain eventually became twice as profitable as McDonald’s. Now, for the first time in the world, you can eat a burger in the air.

Shake Shack burgers will initially be offered on flights out of Boston, and will be added to the menu on other flights in the US throughout 2025. Long-haul First Class ticket holders will be able to pre-order a burger through the airline’s app.

This isn’t the first time Delta has offered burgers, but it’s the first time they’ve been professionally prepared.
