24 teams are participating in the group stage of the Asian Champions League. They are divided into two groups: East and West. The first one includes representatives of Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia and Australia. The second one includes clubs from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Iraq, UAE and Qatar.
